What kind of results can I expect? 
There are no guarantees when doing anything in business.  Even though I can't promise any particular results, you could be looking at potentially an extra 10%, 20%, 30%, or even more based on what other sellers are experiencing, depending on the marketplaces you sell in.  This is on top of the sales you are already making on the products you are already selling.
Why sell internationally?
Think of all the things you do to add sales to your business like searching for new keywords, optimizing PPC, and finding new products.  These are all great things to do as part of running a growing business.  Now that you have done the hard work, you can offer your existing products to foreign customers.
Should I wait to get started until my business has grown bigger?
Personally I started my international expansion when I had one active product and was in process of adding another three.  I don't think it is ever too early (or too late) to get started.  The sooner you get started, the sooner you could be making sales internationally.  Time will pass regardless of whether or not you are selling internationally.  Will it pass with you making additional sales?
Is it hard to get started?
There are a few hoops you have to jump through with a handful of forms for registration purposes.  Thankfully, this keeps a lot of the competition out, and creates a prime opportunity for people who are willing to put in the work.  By doing the work others won't do, you will get the results others can't have.
How will this affect my taxes?
Typically, there are two types of taxes:  1. income taxes and 2. sales taxes.  You will likely pay income taxes to the same government you are paying taxes to now, and your CPA/tax preparer will know how to help you with income taxes.  Remember, more taxes are the result of more profit :).  With income taxes there are no shortage of software tools and services to help you.  In my experience, sales taxes in other countries are usually more straight forward than in the U.S.
How do I know if my product will sell in another marketplace?
You can get a good idea of the demand for products similar to yours by using tools like Jungle Scout, and many of those tools also work in foreign marketplaces.
